Welcome to Bennett High School, the home of the Tigers!

We gladly welcome visitors. For security, we require all visitors to sign-in at the High School office and obtain a visitor pass before entering any building on campus.

The High School office is located on the first floor of the two story building.

School Office Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday-Friday

Overview

Bennett High School offers a wide range of academic programs. These include basic through college level English; mathematics through calculus; a full range of courses in the social studies; science through chemistry and physics; physical education; and three years of Spanish. Computer labs provide students access to word processing to improve writing skills and advanced applications. Fine arts offerings include vocal music, band, strings, drama, and art. A variety of clubs and other extracurricular activities are also available.

Vocational programs at Bennett are offered in business, agriculture, and industrial arts. Also available, through the T.H. Pickens Technical Center in Aurora, is a full range of auto, electronics, drafting, cosmetology, and health related programs.

Our athletic teams, the Bennett Tigers, compete in the 3A Frontier League in a variety of sports for both girls and boys. For details, please see the Sports/Activities page.

Sophomore Scholars

Each year, more Bennett students are taking advantage of the Sophomore Scholars program. Through this program the Bennett School District, in collaboration with Morgan Community College, offers college classes for qualified students, and the public, in accordance with the PSEO Legislation in Colorado.

While in high school, students can finish 30 credits from MCC and then apply for the Sophomore Scholars program which guarantees financial aid for the second year of the two year Associate degree. Many students have graduated from this program with a substantial part of their first two years of college completed -- and only had to pay for books and fees.

Other participants in this program are Strasburg, Byers, and Deer Trail high schools.

Registration

We hope that everyone is having a great summer and that our students are looking forward to the new school year. Registration packets will not be mailed out this year.

Returning students, August 1st , may stop by the high school office to pick up your 2011-2012 school registration packets between the hours of 8:00 am to 3 pm. All students are required to complete and return their packet information on the first day of school, August 16^th.

Freshman and new students will have orientation August 12th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

New student registration will be anytime after Aug. 1st ^th. Please provide proof of residency, immunization record, birth certificate and latest transcript. Please contact Mrs. Miller, HS Registrar, at 303 644-3234 ext. 7221 if you should have any questions.
